Full Day Tour: The rugged West MacDonnell Ranges and Finke Gorge National Park

Depart Alice Springs, travelling through the rugged West MacDonnell Ranges and vast Owen Springs Reserve to the Finke River. Stop for morning tea (included) beside one of the worlds oldest rivers. Climb aboard our 4WD vehicle and journey into Finke Gorge National Park. Visit the oasis of Palm Valley. View the Livistona Mariae palms and ancient cycads that flourish along the creek bed. Explore Cycad Gorge or climb to the top of the valley. Continue on to Kalarranga Lookout. Take a short walk for views over the red sandstone formation. Visit historic Hermannsburg. Tour the community's art gallery and see works by world-famous Aboriginal artists, including the late Albert Namatjira. Return to The Alice and transfer to your hotel.
