- Visit Alice Springs Desert Park
Travel alongside the rugged West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping to visit Flynns grave. Founder of Australias Royal Flying Doctor Service, Reverend John Flynn is one of Australias greatest Outback heroes. Then explore the dramatic feature of Simpsons Gap, keeping a look out for elusive rock wallabies. Arrive at majestic Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Walk through this five-metre break in the range, with its towering fiery red walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch with traditional Aussie billy tea. From atop Anzac Hill enjoy stunning views of the MacDonnell ranges and Alice Springs. We then continue to Alice Springs Desert Park. Explore the landscapes and wildlife of the region, and learn about their traditional use and management by Aboriginal people. Return to your hotel at 5pm.
